Morocco
has restated its claim over the sovereignty of Ceuta and Melilla
. The move comes as Morocco seeks to create a new constitutional model for the state. Omar Azziman, Morocco’s ambassador to Madrid, said that the recovery of the territories is a permanent objective for Morocco, language that echoes that which is often used by Spain in relation to its Gibraltar claim.
